Death toll from coronavirus pandemic rises to 42 in Iraq
The total of deaths from the pandemic has risen to 42, the country’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
The number of confirmed cases is 506, with 42 deaths, according to the statement.
The coronavirus pandemic was first confirmed to have spread to Iraq in February.
Cases have been confirmed in all 19 Iraqi provinces as of the 26th of February, with the Iraqi Kurdistan region accounting for 113 of those cases.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Iraq reported its first confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections on 2 February 22 in Najaf.
