EU Foreign Affairs Council to meet this Friday afternoon
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has called an extraordinary Foreign Affairs Council meeting Friday afternoon.
"I will call an extraordinary Foreign Affairs Council meeting this Friday afternoon," Borell said in a statement on his Twitter account.
"We will discuss urgent issues and address the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Belarus Presidential elections, as well as developments in Lebanon," he added.
The office of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Tuesday that the country's Foreign Minister would request an emergency meeting of the European Union foreign affairs council.
