First group of Foreign Umrah pilgrims arrives in Jeddah from Pakistan, Indonesia

The first group of Umrah pilgrims from Pakistan and Indonesia Sunday arrived at Jeddah International Airport on Sunday as part of the third stage of reopening the Haramain Sharifain to worshippers.

Some 10,000 pilgrims were scheduled to arrive in Saudi Arabia from abroad to perform Umrah after a seven-month suspension due to coronavirus pandem

According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, International pilgrims will be allowed to stay in the Kingdom for 10 days

The Ministry also announced that all prayers in Masjid Al Haram, Rawdah Al Shareefah, and visitation to the Rawdah of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him) will only be allowed through a valid permit which needs be obtained through the “Eatmarna App”

Among precautionary measures for International Pilgrims, the Ministry ordered a 3-day mandatory Quarantine on arrival and eligible pilgrims between the ages of 18-50.

The third phase of the gradual resumption of Umrah will commence from Sunday, 15 Rabi Al Awwal (1st November 2020) after which the limitation of Umrah performing pilgrims will be increased to 20,000 from 15,000 and for prayers in Masjid Al Haram to 60,000 from 40,000.
