216 people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Russia, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 6,532.
The number of confirmed cases has reached 502,436, an increase of 8,404 cases in the last 24 hours.
261,150 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
Russia was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but now has become the country with the third-most cases in the world, after the United States and Brazil, having surpassed the United Kingdom and Spain.
The city of Moscow is currently the most affected federal subject, having the majority of confirmed cases.
Global death toll from coronavirus have reached 419,559, with 7,487,276 cases and 3,800,590 recoveries.
