Russia reports highest number of daily COVID-19 deaths
442 people have died from coronavirus over the last 24 hours in Russia, bringing the country’s death toll 33,931.
The number of confirmed cases has risen to 1,971,013, an increase of 22,410 cases in the last 24 hours.
1,475,904 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
Russia was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but it is now the country with the fifth-most cases in the world, after the United States, Brazil, India and France.
The city of Moscow is currently the most affected federal subject, having the majority of confirmed cases.
Global death toll from coronavirus have reached 1,335,191, with 55,510,763 cases and 38,652,159 recoveries.
