"Step by Step Genocide in East Turkistan" report was shared with the public

The report titled “East Turkistan Concentration Camps: Step by Step Genocide” prepared by IHH Board of Trustees Member Murat Yılmaz was shared with the public at a press conference held at IHH Headquarters with the participation of various NGOs.

As the Chinese occupation in East Turkistan gains new dimensions and deepens, the news of human rights violations from the region increases. In recent years, especially in concentration camps and inhumane treatment there have reached levels that cannot be hidden. At a time when western countries concentrated on violations in Hong Kong, concentration camps, where hundreds of thousands of Uighur Muslims were victimized, became a deeper wound day by day.

Murat Yılmaz, a member of the IHH Board of Trustees, prepared a comprehensive report on the number of the concentration camps in question, where they were established and what happened inside.

The report titled “East Turkistan Concentration Camps: Step by Step Genocide” was shared with the public at a press conference held at IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Headquarters. IHH Chairman Bülent Yildirim, Özgür-Der Chairman Rıdvan Kaya, the Head of MAZLUMDER’s Istanbul Branch Ali Öner, International Refugee Rights Association Vice Chairman Ibrahim Ergin and INSAMER researcher Nurettin Izbasar attended the meeting. The meeting also marked the 5th July 2009 Urumqi Massacre, which took place 11 years ago.

“People of East Turkistan were sacrificed”

IHH President Bulent Yildirim said at the press conference that he moderated, "Unfortunately, due to the embargo of China when it comes to East Turkestan, we cannot make our voices heard too much."

Yıldırım said: “This ummah has sacrificed the people of East Turkistan as of today. But if we continue to give this victim, our geography will face the same result tomorrow one day. If our media gives the necessary importance to this report, it will be similar to the voice that Mavi Marmara raised for Palestine. Of course, if this report is not subject to the Chinese embargo again. China secures itself by transferring economic resources to some states.”

“The persecution is ignored in East Turkistan’’

Stating that the persecution in East Turkistan is nothing new and increasing day by daythe Head of MAZLUMDER’s Istanbul Branch Ali Öner said: “The persecution in East Turkistan is ignored. We are talking about a region where women and children are cut off from their families. Unfortunately, this issue is bypassed in the media. Yes, there is persecution in many regions of Islamic geography. Unfortunately, the persecution in East Turkistan is more than all.”

“Our responsible is to increase reaction against it”

Reminding that when it comes to the persecution of China, some circles are immediately talking about American imperialism, the Head of ÖZGÜRDER Rıdvan Kaya said: “Yesterday, it was Hitler's Germany, but today China is doing it. Here, people are openly persecuted. Assimilation is a crime against humanity. Because of economic reasons, Unfortunately, states do not take any action or responsibility against this. Conscience owners need to take more roles. The reaction put forward here may, however, trigger states to some extent. Our response is to increase the reactions and to defend the oppressed people of East Turkistan from China persecution. May Allah help our brothers and sisters in East Turkistan.”

“Everyone should at least condemn this massacre in his heart, and condemn China”

İbrahim Ergin, Vice President of the International Refugee Rights Association, who says that every conscientious person must condemn the Chinese political administration in his heart, said: “Let's apply this reaction as a form of boycott in all areas of our lives. Everyone should at least condemn this massacre in his heart, and condemn China. "

“Although the massacre in 2009 was a turning point, it was the signal of today's persecutions”

Nurettin İzbasar, Researcher of IHH İNSAMER, who emphasized that the girls taken from East Turkistan to China were sexually assaulted, said: “Unfortunately, our girls were attacked. Some were killed and some were abused. Massacre in Urumqi became a turning point in East Turkistan and China increased the dose of persecution. This persecution continues in both concentration camps and all areas of East Turkistan. Although the massacre in 2009 was a turning point, it was the forefront of today's persecution. I grant all my brothers who passed away with mercy. ”

Speaking after the speeches, IHH Board of Trustees Member Murat Yılmaz shared some parts of the comprehensive report he prepared with the public with his presentation.

Yılmaz, in his report, touched on the violations of rights in many areas such as sister family project, concentration camps, organ theft, assimilation under the name of vocational education, elimination of religious and cultural values, ban on worship, exploitation of underground resources.
