Turkey reports 17 new deaths from coronavirus
Turkey has reported 17 new deaths from coronavirus, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 5,167.
In a statement published on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Thursday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 202,284, after 1,186 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.
176,965 people have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
While 1,067 patients are in critical condition, there are some 372 patients who are mechanically ventilated.
3,483,677 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
