The hopeful wait of families in sit-in is on the 30th day

The sit-in of 49 families outside the HDP office in Diyarbakir on the grounds that their children were kidnapped by the HDP and sent to the rural areas controlled by the PKK continues on its 30th day.

The sit-in staged on September 3 with 3 families is now continuing on the 30th day with attending 49 families.

The tearful families continue to suffer for their children who were kidnapped on various dates by the HDP to and sent to rural areas controlled by the PKK to be recruited.

Despite the insults and threats of HDP members from time to time the resolute attitudes of families do not change, continue their sit-in action outside the HDP office in the Central Bağlar, district of Diyarbakir, a southeastern province of Turkey.

Looking around with their eyes full of longing, hope, and pain, the families are waiting to receive some good news.

The names of the families staged sit-in protest are as follows:

1- Fevziye - Şahap Çetinkaya, resident of the town of Eğil in Diyarbakir, began the sit-in on Tuesday September 3, for their son Süleyman Çetinkaya, 18, who was kidnapped by the PKK on August 30.

2- Diyarbakir resident Remziye Akkoyun staged a sit-in protest on Tuesday September 3, claiming that her son Azad, 14, who has been missing for 4 years, was kidnapped by the PKK.

3- Rauf - Ayşegül Biçer couple staged a sit-in protest in Diyarbakir on Tuesday September 3, for their only son Mustafa Biçer, 18, who has been missing for 10 months. Cancer patient Ayşegül Biçer claims his son was kidnapped by the PKK through the HDP.

4- Celil Begdaş, a construction worker from Mardin and living in Diyarbakir, and his wife, Hediye Begdaş, claimed that their son Yusuf, 16, who disappeared on 5 May, the first day of Ramadan, was kidnapped to the rural areas by a minibus decorated as a wedding vehicle through the HDP, and participated in the sit-in on the evening of 4 September.

5- Şevket - Songül Altındaş couple living in Gaziantep joined the sit-in protest on September 5 for the son Müslüm Altındaş, who was allegedly kidnapped on October 5 by the PKK in rural area of Pülümür, district of Tunceli while he was on his way for his military service.

6- Rahime Uymaz, who lives in the Anamur district of Mersin, takes part in the sit-in for his nephew, police officer Sedat Yabalak, 34, who was abducted by the PKK members in front of his wife and daughter on July 28, 2015, on the road to Lice, district of Diyarbakir. Mother of Sedat Yabalak, who is also sick, Ünzile Yabalak, arrived in Diyarbakir on the evening of September 8 and staged sit-in protest. Yıldız Namdar, wife of Petty Officer Murat Namdar, who was shot dead by PKK members on September 23, 1995, is accompanying patient Ünzile Yabalak.

7- Emine - Şeyhmus Kaya, from the Derik, district of Mardin, began the sit-in on September 5 for their son Vedat Kaya, 28, who was kidnapped by PKK members in Lice, district of Diyarbakir while he was a police officer in Istanbul and returning to his home country in his brother's wedding in Muş.

8- Sadiye Özbey from Malatya, took part in the sit-in on September 5 for his son, petty officer Semih Özbey, whose vehicle was burned and he was kidnapped by PKK members on the road to Pulümür, district of Tunceli, while visiting his mother from Rize on September 17, 2015.

9- Meryem Savur, who lost her husband on August 17 September earthquake while living in Bursa, and moved to Diyarbakir following the earthquake, claimed that her son Fırat Savur, 22, was kidnapped by the PKK 4 years ago, joined the sit-in action on September 5.

10- Sabiha Balta, from Diyarbakir, participated in the sit-in on 5 September, claiming that her son Arafat Balta, 25, who disappeared 5 years ago, had been kidnapped to the rural areas by PKK members.

11- Aysel Koyun, who lives in the village of Dokuzçeltik in Diyarbakir, staged the sit-in on 6 September for her son Neşat Koyun, 22, claiming to have been kidnapped by the PKK 5 years ago.

12- Güzide Demir from Diyarbakir, joined the sit-in proteston September 7 for her son Aziz Demir, 20, claimed he was kidnapped 4 years ago by the PKK.

13- Parents of Vahit Çur, 19, who was kidnapped by the PKK while being a shepherd in the rural area of Eleşkirt, district of Ağrı 4 years ago, Bedirhan - Necla Çur staged a sit-in protest on 7 September.

14- Hüsniye Kaya from Diyarbakir stageda sit-in protest on September 8 to find her daughter Mekiye Kaya, 19, saying her daughter has been missing for 5 years and then learned from her friends that her daughter is with the PKK in Syria.

15- Ayten-Şadin Elhaman pair took part in the sit-in on 8 September for their son Bayram Elhaman, 21, who disappeared 2 years ago.

16- Parents of Yakup Edizer, 19, Salim and Saliha Edizer, claiming that their son had been kidnapped to the rural areas after he went to the HDP office in Kağıthane, district of Istanbul 5 years ago, took their place in the action on 9 September.

17- Süleyman Aydin, from Diyarbakir, participated in the sit-in on September 9 for his son Özkan, 19, whom he claimed was kidnapped by the PKK 4 years ago.

18- Mevlude Üçdag, from Diyarbakir, joined the sit-in protest outside HDP office in Diyarbakır for her son Ramazan Üçdağ, 22, saying she hasn’t received any nay news from her son for 5 years.

19- Salih - Mulkiye Aylu, who are from Mardin but live in Diyarbakir, began the sit-in on September 10 for their son Mehmet Aylu, 20, who went missing on March 22, 2019, claiming their son has been kidnapped by M.I. to the Metina region in Iraq controlled by the PKK during the attendance of the HDP congress on March 2019.

20- Latife Ödümlü, from Siirt but living in Ordu, staged a sit-in protest on September 10, outside HDP office in Diyarbakır for her son Özgür Güdümlü, who was a 3rd grade student at Dicle University chemistry department, saying her son was kidnapped by the PKK 10 months ago to the regions controlled by the PKK in Iraqi Kurdistan.

21- Mehmet Karaman, from Diyarbakir, started the sit-in on 11 September for his son Ercan Karaman, who is now 40-years-old, claimed that his son deceptively had been kidnapped by the PKK in 1999.

22- Fatma Akkuş, from Diyarbakir, attends the sit-in on September 11 for her daughter Songül Akkuş, saying she was disappeared on August 28, 2019, while she saw one of her daughter's video on the internet wearing PKK uniforms.

23- Macide Uslu from Erzurum and Halime Şehitoğlu from the Viranşehir, district of Şanlıurfa, participated in the sit-in on September 11 for their nephew Sedat Sorgun, 28, who was kidnapped by the PKK in Lice, district of Diyarbakir in 2015.

24- Sedat Sorgun, whose mother died, while doing his military service in Van, visited his aunt Şehitoğlu in Viranşehir, then on the leave while going to his hometown Erzurum to visit his relatives, were kidnapped by PKK members during a road control by the organization members.

25- Nihan Cicek, from Diyarbakir, took part in the sit-in on September 11 for daughter Hatun Cicek, 23, who claimed that her daughter was kidnapped to the rural areas by her husband's relatives in 2015.

26- Ömer Tokay, from Diyarbakir, began his sit-in on September 12 for his son Mehmet Tokay 22, saying his son went on a picnic in Şırnak in 2011 them he saw his son on a pro-PKK TV channel in 2014.

27- Şevket-Fatma Bingöl, who lives in Istanbul, began their sit-in on September 13 for their son Tuncay Bingöl 19, who left home in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, in 2014 saying 'they found me a job, I'm going to work'.

28- Mother Sevdet Demir, 55, claimed that her son Fatih Demir, 24, was kidnapped by the terrorist organization in 2015 while he was working at a bakery in the Hani District of Diyarbakir, took part in the sit-in on 13 September.

29- Saliha Mert, 42, who divorced her husband in Bitlis, came to Diyarbakir on 13 September to take part in the sit-in for her son Yetiş Top, 23, whom she claimed was kidnapped to the rural areas controlled by the PKK in 2015.

30- Ubeydullah Yolaçan, who lives in Bitlis, arrived in Diyarbakir on 14 September to participate in the sit-in action for his son Çetin Yolaçan, 31, whom he had not heard for 5 years. Father Yolaçan, his daughter-in-law Gülcemal [wife of Çetin Yolaçan], and his grandchildren Ecrin and Abdulsamet participated in the sit-in.

30- Elderly mother Hurinaz Omay, 83, who came to Diyarbakir from the Mutki, district of Bitlis, took part in the sit-in on 14 September for his son Rifat Omay, 43, whom she claimed had been kidnapped by the PKK 24 years ago.

31- Fadıl Kılıç, who came to Diyarbakir from Bitlis, participated in the sit-in on 14 September for his son Faruk Kılıç, 25, claiming that his son had been kidnapped by the PKK 3 years ago when he was a student at Ahlat University.

32- Muhittin Avunan, who came to Diyarbakir from Elazığ, participated in the sit-in on 13 September for his nephew, Emrah Avunan, 24, from Bingöl, who was kidnapped by the PKK on his way for his military service.

33- Mehmet Emin Coşkun, 49, from the Horasan, district of Erzurum, joied the sit-in protest on September 15 for his oldest son Ibrahim Coşkun, 24, claiming that his son was kidnapped on December 29, 2014, by the PKK when he was a student at Muğla Sitki Koçman University Faculty of Literature.

34- Türkan Mutlu came from Bursa, staged sit-in protest on September 16 for her daughter Ceylan Şeyma Tekin, 24, saying got into university but did not register and deceptively was kidnapped by the organization 7 years ago in Balıkesir.

35- Vahide Sunar, from Diyarbakir, staged sit-in protest on September 16 for her son Ahmet Sunar, saying he was kidnapped by the PKK from Dicle, district of Diyarbakır.

36- Salih Gökçe, from Ağrı, took part in the sit-in on September 17, stating that his child Ömer Gökçe, 19, went missing while working in Istanbul in 2015 and that he believed his son was in Syria recruited by the PKK.

37- Gabriel Taş, from Batman province but living in Güngören, Istanbul, took part in the sit-in outside HDP office in Diyarbakır on September 17 for his 14-year-old daughter Ece Taş, who deceptively was kidnapped in 2015, suggesting that his daughter is in Kobane, Syria.

38- Üzeyir Nergiz from Diyarbakir participated in the sit-in protest on September 17 for his brother-in-law Osman Eklik, 28, who was kidnapped by the PKK 5 years ago. He also suggested that one of his nephews had also been kidnapped by the organization.

39- Ikram Gürtük, a painful mother from Muş district, joined the sit-in protest on September 18 for her kidnapped son Musa Gürtük, 18. Mother Ikram Gürtük, who lives in the village of Toprakgele (Biler) of Muş, said her child was kidnapped while studying at the Muş center.

40- Mother Selma Han, who came from the Malazgirt, district of Muş to take part in the sit-in for her 24-year-old son Onur Han, saying that her son was deceptively kidnapped in 2014 by the organization. Painful mother Selma Han added that her son made a phone call last year from Syria, called him to come and surrender.

41- Mother Şirin Sungur, from Siirt, joined the sit-in on September 18 for her 20-year-old son Suleyman Sungur, saying her son was kidnapped in 2015 by the PKK from on road to Lice district while he was on his way for military service.

42- Joined the sit-in protest on September 19 for his son Muhsin Altun, 24, painful father Halit Altun said his son was deceptively kidnapped in 2014 when he was a student at Malatya İnönü University Computer Engineering department. Father blamed HDP for his son and that he wants his child from HDP.

43- Yıldız Ballı, from Patnos, a district of Ağrı province but lives in Istanbul, took part in the sit-in for her 16-year-old daughter Yasemin Ballı, who was kidnapped in 2014, said her daughter was taken away while she was residing in Istanbul. Expressing that information posted on the internet 10 days ago saying that her daughter was killed, the anguished mother Yıldız Ballı said she does not believe the news and that she wants her daughter dead or alive. Painful Mother Yıldız Ballı says she has prepared a wedding dress, shroud and grave for her daughter, joins the sit-in on September 19.

44- Father Fahrettin Akkuş, from Bitlis but lives in Istanbul, joined the sit-in protest on September 20 for his son Erkan Akkuş. The painful father said his son was kidnapped when he was 19-years-old and he will not stop his action until he receives his son.

45- Anguished mother Hatice Levent also took part in the sit-in on September 22 for her daughter Fadime Levent, 18, claimed her daughter deceptively kidnapped in 2015 by the organization through the HDP while she was studying at Bitlis University and she has not heard from her daughter since the day she was kidnapped.

46- Another painful mother Güzel Aslan, who came from Muş, stated that her son disappeared 5 years ago, said she had been searching for her son Turan for years but could not find him.

47- Living in Sultangazi, Istanbul, Immihan Nilifirka says her son went missing 4 years ago when he was studying at Aegean University.

48- Mother Cennet Kabaklı joined the sit-in protest saying her son Adil Kabaklı was kidnapped by the organization on Tunceli-Pülümür high way.  

49- Sıddıka Tatlı, from Siverek, district of Sanliurfa, started the sit-in on 29 September for her son Aziz Tatlı, 27, who disappeared in 2014 when he was a senior student at the Department of Architecture at Mardin Artuklu University and claimed to have been kidnapped to the rural areas by the PKK.
